GTA V players to receive in game cash, and other video games news
Although the launch of Grand Theft Auto V was met with tremendous sales figures and brilliant reviews, it has not all been plain sailing for the developers, Rockstar. Because of problems with the online version of the game, the company has decided to try to make it up to players by giving them $500,000 in in-game cash. In the real world, that would cost each player £6.75. Rockstar say that they will start handing out the cash once they know for sure that the online gaming problems have been fixed.
In other news, Microsoft has announced that it will be bringing the new Xbox One console to the UK for several videogames events and conventions in October and November. This will give some lucky players the opportunity to try out the console with the launch games such as Forza 5, Ryse, Battlefield 4 and FIFA 14. This is part of a world tour for the Xbox One which will see thousands of gamers get their hands on the console early, if only for a little while.
Few video game franchises create enthusiasm and a huge following like the Final Fantasy series, which means that a new batch of screenshots for Final Fantasy XIII have been well received. Entitled ‘Lightening Returns’, the new instalment is due out in February next year and 17 minutes of gameplay footage has also recently been released.
