Microsoft unveil ‘Day One Edition’ Xbox One

With only around two months to go until the Xbox One is released in November, Microsoft recently released a video showing the unboxing of the ‘Day One Edition’ of the console. This version of the new Xbox will be the first run of the consoles manufactured, and will come with a commemorative controller and exclusive ‘achievement’ on-board. The Day One Edition consoles can already be pre-ordered, but this unveiling video shows what you can expect.

Microsoft say that the console in the video is one of less than 20 currently in existence in the whole world. Meanwhile, another recent announcement by the manufacturer confirms many of the specs users can expect from the new release. The system will come with a new 853mhz GPU which will mean that the graphics potential for new games is at a level which clearly surpasses the Xbox 360. Also, the Xbox one will come with a 500GB hard drive as standard, HDMI input and output connectors, wired and wireless network support, Blu-ray player and three USB ports.

Another recent development which has pleased gamers is that all Xbox Ones will come with a chat headset as standard. Microsoft previously said that this would not be the case and that the headset would have to be purchased separately, but they seem to have backtracked on that decision.

If you love your video games we have plenty of gamer T-shirts, wallets and more to choose from. We have belt buckles from the likes of Halo and Gears of War, Nintendo classics like Super Mario, and even old school favourites like Pac Man. Put one of these together with one of our leather belts, and maybe complete the look with a geek T-shirt to show your true gamer colours.
