Justice League movie set for 2015, but without Christian Bale

Warner Brothers have officially announced that fans of the Justice League can expect to see a live action movie released in the summer of 2015. The production of this movie has been hanging around since that least 2007, with Warner Brothers seeing it as a way of both cashing in on and challenging the success of Marvel franchises such as Iron Man and Thor.

However, if you're expected to see gravelly-voiced misery Christian Bale reprising his role as Batman, you are very much mistaken. The actor has recently said that he has had absolutely no conversations with Warner Brothers or anyone else about reprising the role, and has gone so far as to rule himself out appearing as the character again. This has led to speculation about who will take over the mantle, with well-known actors such as Michael Fassbender, Jake Gyllenhaal and Armie Hammer being touted by fans. Henry Cavill is expected to appear once more as Superman.

Ironically, the next avengers movie is also on the cards for 2015, setting up a potential summer rivalry of epic proportions. Joss Whedon is already pencilled in to direct the sequel, while Zack Snyder is expected by many to direct the Justice League movie after the success of the Superman reboot. It will also not be surprising if both Christopher Nolan and David S. Goyer are on board in some fashion to sculpt the concept.

Needless to say, whether you're a DC Comics fan or a Marvel fan (or both) we have some excellent merchandise to enjoy. How about a Batman belt buckle to attach your utility belt to, or maybe a Superman t-shirt to show off your ripped torso. For the ladies, perhaps a Wonder Woman t-shirt or purse would be more fitting. We also have Avengers t-shirts from the likes of Thor, and other Marvel t-shirts too.
