Spider-Man, Spider-Man, friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man

There can few cooler comic book heroes than Spider-Man. He just ticks all the right boxes: always has and always will as far as we’re concerned. It can’t really come as much of a surprise then to learn that Empire Magazine lists Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man as the fifth greatest comic book hero of all time. Here at BBT Clothing we couldn’t agree more, though in fairness we might’ve listed him even higher. Marvel Comic’s flagship character is the business and remains as popular today as is he was in August, 1962 when he was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.

So, what’s his enduring appeal? Why has this shy, introverted character stood the test of time whilst others have dropped by the wayside? We’d hazard a guess that it’s actually because he is so tormented and uncertain of himself. There’s a kind of vulnerability there that we can all identify with. Granted, we’ve not been bitten by a radioactive spider, nor do we have any special powers to spin a web or cling to the side of buildings, but we still understand him: the nerdiness, the shyness around the opposite sex and the lack of confidence. He even looks after his bereaved aunt as well as keeping the streets of New York safe: bless him.  We’ve all been there at some stage in our lives, and experienced emotions similar to his. No wonder nearly half a century on, old ‘Spidey’ can still manage to pull in the crowds and sell magazines. You’ve just got to love him.

Now obviously we were presented with a bit of a problem here. How do you truly celebrate the webbed-wonder? How do you really do this comic legend justice? We considered all the usual options of setting him against some of his arch enemies like Doctor Octopus and Venom, but this didn’t hit the spot for us. So in the end BBT Clothing decided that the best way to celebrate almost 50 years of Spidey was to use iconic images. So we’ve come up with two cool T-shirts that we’re sure you’ll love: our 100th Anniversary Marvel comic cover print, and the Marvel Extreme web design print. Both are absolute beauties and should definitely cut the mustard for all you ardent Spider-Man fans out there.

But we didn’t just stop at that: no, of course not. We’ve also got two superb belt buckles for you. We stock the Spider-man head buckle   and the Spider-Man mask buckle, both in the classic red and black colouring we’ve all come to love. We’ve also given Peter Parker pride of place in our generic Marvel Comics belt buckle and classic Marvel Heroes wallet. Well, we had to, didn’t we? Spider-Man and Marvel Comics are one and the same after all.

Don’t forget our special offer of buy 3 products and get an extra 10 percent off the price. With offers that good, you might as well treat yourself both Spider-Man T-shirts and a buckle too. If you’d like a closer look at any of our products, then take a peek at our complete range of cool T-shirts, belts and buckles at www.beltsbucklestees.com. We’re sure you’ll love what you see.
