First Official Deadpool Trailer Now Available to View!
One of the most talked about superhero movies at this year's Comic-Con was Deadpool, with many fans eager to see how actor Ryan Reynolds portrays the foul-mouthed anit-hero. Up until now, though, we've been left to speculate over how Reynolds will play the part. While the official release of Deadpool is still six months away, 20th Century Fox has released the first trailer, and it's pretty impressive to say the least.
Before watching the trailer, you should know that Deadpool isn't your ordinary superhero. He doesn't really care about doing the "right" thing, rather his motivation is to reek revenge on the man who performed horrendous experiments on him. Deadpool follows the story of a former Special Forces soldier named Wade Wilson, who is diagnosed with cancer. In an effort to find a cure, he allows a doctor to perform various experiments, which ultimately give him his abilities. There's a hefty cost for these abilities, however.
Many people are surprised to learn that Deadpool is a relatively new character that first appeared in the 1990s. Writer Fabian Nicieza and graphic design artist Rob Liefeld are credited with the anti-hero's creation in The New Mutants #98 (cover date February 1991). According to interviews, Liefeld came up with Deadpool's appearance and name, while Nicieza came up with Deadpool's speech.
The original story of Deadpool centers around Wilson being hired by Tolliver to attack the New Mutants. This allows him to interact with the X-Force, at which point Deadpool becomes a regular member. Deadpool has made numerous guest appearance since then, however, including appearances in The Avengers, Daredevil, and Heroes for Hire.

Click the play button above to see the first official trailer for the upcoming Deadpool movie. This trailer is NSFW, as it includes mature language and graphic violence -- and lots of it. At nearly three minutes in length, this isn't just an ordinary "teaser" trailer, either. It's packed with heartfelt emotion between Wilson and his love interest, as well as humor, action and plenty of fighting. Fox did a pretty awesome good at putting this trailer together. Now let's hope the film lives up to its high expectations.
Deadpool is scheduled to hit theaters on February 2, 2016.
