Leaked: Official Suicide Squad Trailer
The first trailer for DC Comics' upcoming film Suicide Squad has been leaked, giving us fans a closer look at Jared Leto's sinister and psychotic persona as the Joker. The antihero-superhero flick won't be released until next year, but DC fans young and old are sure to appreciate this stylish trailer.
The trailer was initially planned to be a Comic-Con exclusive, meaning it wouldn't be shown outside of the convention's Hall H. These plans were soon nixed, however, when an unnamed source uploaded the trailer to YouTube. This prompted a response by Warner Bros. Pictures, saying its anti-piracy team had worked around the clock for the past two days to remove the trailer. Warner Bros. Pictures added that it was unable achieve its goal of removing the footage, and as such, it would release the high-quality version so fans can enjoy the trailer as it was intended.
“Warner Bros. Pictures and our anti-piracy team have worked tirelessly over the last 48 hours to contain the Suicide Squad footage that was pirated from Hall H on Saturday," said Sue Kroll, president of worldwide marketing and international distribution for Warner Bros. Pictures, in a Facebook post. "We have been unable to achieve that goal. Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed."

You can click on the play button above to watch the trailer in its entirety. It begins with Amanda Waller (played by actress Viola Davis) talking about the ragtag bunch of antiheroes. Some fans have said Waller is like the Nick Fury of DC Universe, meaning she's the one who orchestrates all of the Suicide Squad's affairs, setting up missions while acting as the team leader. What makes her different than Fury, however, is that Waller doesn't believe superheros can save the world. Instead, she views them as people with potentially dangerous abilities.
While the trailer doesn't reveal much in terms of story, it does present some pretty stunning action scenes and visuals. And around the 2:43 mark, we get to see Jard Leto as the Joker telling someone is he is going to hurt them “really, really bad.”
The Suicide Squad is scheduled for release August 5, 2016.
