Check Out This New 'Ant-Man' Promo

I'll be honest, I had my doubts when I first heard that Marvel was making a film based on the Ant-Man character. After all, Ant-Man doesn't pack the same charm and charisma as Iron Man or Captain America. And while I don't have anything against him, actor Paul Rudd just doesn't seem like the superhero type. Nonetheless, Ant-Man is gearing up to be one of the hottest flicks of the summer, with Marvel having released a pretty impressive teaser trailer earlier this month.

WHIH: NEWSFRONT Promo - July 2, 2015

The new teaser trailer is only 30 seconds long, but it contains some pretty interesting information, referencing to a battle between the Avengers and Ultron's army during Avengers: Age of Ultron. It begins as any normal news coverage, with anchor “ Christine Everhart” discussing the day's current events and happenings for WHIH News Front. Of course, there's no such thing as WHIH News Front, as it's a well-made teaser trailer designed specifically for Marvel's upcoming Ant-Man movie.

In addition to covering the destruction caused by the battle between the Avengers and Ultron, Christine Everhart also provides an update on the cyber criminal Scott Lang, who is set to be released from prison in the upcoming days. Lang, of course, is Ant-Man, whom will be starring in the movie for which the promo trailer was made.

If news anchor Christine Everhart looks familiar, that's probably because you've seen her before. Played by actress Leslie Bibb, she was actually in Iron Man and Iron Man 2 as a reporter working for Vanity Fair. She later became fond of Tony Stark, although Stark was more interested in his assistant.

At the end of the Ant-Man teaser trailer, you'll see a message asking viewers to “follow us online.” And as you can see in the video, there's even a Twitter and Google Plus account set up for WHIH News Front. Who knows, maybe we'll see some new information released on the news' social media accounts in reference to Ant-Man?

Marvel's Ant-Man is scheduled to be released July 17, 2015.
