Bryce Dallas Howard Wants To Play Captain Marvel

Having just wrapped up the summer blockbuster film Jurassic World, 32-year-old American actress has already fixated her eyes on a new project: Captain Marvel.

In a candid interview with CinemaBlend, Bryce said she wants to play Captain Marvel. Bryce said the characters are deep and intriguing, which is one of the reasons why she wants to joint the Marvel crew.

"Oh my God, will you write that? Will you write that please?" Howard told reporter Eric Eisenberg after he told her he felt she could be a fit for the character. "Yes, let’s start a campaign now. That would be rad. Those movies are so fantastic, because talk about just these incredibly drawn characters! That’s the joy of the comics, is that you fall in love with these characters and it’s who they are that carries you from journey to journey to journey… it’s not just about set pieces. It’s really about who these people are, and so, yes, I just would love to be in a Marvel film."

So, who the heck is Captain Marvel? No, it isn't Captain America's brother (or sister). After graduating high school, thrill-seeking femme fatale Carol Danvers joined the United States Air Force (USAF). Here, she quickly rose to the top of the ranks, achieving the decorated rank of Major. Due to her exceptional performance and natural ability to handle stress under pressure, she was recruited by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), which is where she met a mysterious man named Nick Fury (yes, that Nick Fury).

During her stint at the CIA, Carol was paired up with another special operative named Logan. The duo embarked on a number high-profile missions across the globe, battling villains from all walks of life. Carol was eventually captured by the Russian KB, at which point Logan came to rescue her. Of course, this is really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the story of Carol Danvers (AKA Captain Marvel). She may lack the superhuman abilities of the Incredible Hulk or Thor, but she possesses extraordinary piloting and hand-to-hand combat skills.

Personally, I think Bryce Dallas Howard would be an excellent choice for a Captain Marvel film. She's charismatic, down to Earth, and let's forget about her acting abilities. Whether or not Marvel hires her for role, however, remains to be seen.
